A bed for ladies Beds are turning feminine, through their softness, comfort and sexiness. This is the revolutionary vision presented by the Soft Touch and Forever ranges – the Dorelanbed Night Collection textile ideas for beds which complete the bed system offered by the Dorelan company. The art director is Enrico Cesana and he has started out with sinuous and curving shapes to create a Dorelan aesthetics range, one that is so evocative that it brings out the feminine side to the bed. In order to render the idea of welcoming, the beds have been designed using less wood and more soft materials such as polyurethane, which is particularly pliable. Arranged according to tone nuance, the colour swatch shifts from being a simple visual experience to tactile exploration. A bed from the new Soft Touch range is presented in the picture: ‘Soft_Nest’ is designed by Odoardo Fioravanti, who has converted a great classic such as capitonné upholstery into an entirely new version featuring modern design. Architect and expert industrial designer, Fioravanti sets out from the concept of wanting to endow objects with new lines and a new perspective, experimenting with new ideas and approaches, with the desire to present things from a completely new standpoint. ‘Soft_Nest’ started life as a tailor-made made-to-measure garment underpinned by generous soft cuts and great attention to detail. |
