Sleep news
A change of pillow can help stop snoring. This discovery emerges from the Tempur® study carried out by the American company Preston-Osborne Marketing Communications and Research, which, for a month, monitored 48 couples where one of the two snores. In 85% of the cases the noise made by the partner was described as ‘extremely disturbing’ and 98% stated that they were woken 4 or more times per night. Before the study, those in the sample group all regularly used a polyester, cotton fibre, feather, foam or other fill pillow. All the couples involved were then supplied with the Original model pillow by Tempur – the United States multinational specialised in mattresses and pillows made with a material developed by NASA. A month later the same questions were asked and the results were compared. The percentage that deemed the partner’s noise ‘extremely disturbing’ dropped from 85% to 10%. The Original pillow by Tempur has been designed involving teamwork with physiotherapists, to ensure that it adapts perfectly to neck and head contours, guaranteeing optimal support for the neck and shoulder muscles. The Tempur® material stands as a revolution in comfort, uniting incomparable durability and softness.
