Which trend’s going to be trendy?
CampusDellaModa – ‘the fashion campus’– is launching its first specialisation course in Cool Hunting: Trend Research and Analysis. It aims to attract youngsters who possess intuition, curiosity, a good power of observation and a great passion for fashion. The new specialised training institute in fashion is located in Carpi – one of the most important fashion industry production areas in Italy – and is run by Philip Taylor and AD (a renowned Florentine fashion school). It has structured this course for all those wishing to acquire the tools to make a serious profession of their natural talents. In fact, cool hunters often work as freelancers but are increasingly appreciated and sought out by fashion multinationals and communication & design companies. Eight meetings (all on Fridays and Saturdays) make up the programme that gets underway straight after the summer: 25-26 September; 9-10, 23-24 October; 6-7 November. The course provides the foundations of tool study as well as the structures and methods necessary to planning fashion trend research. Photographic workshops, research into materials and images, graphical composition, mood board construction and trend book composition will also be explored during the course.
