Italian Furnishing in Moscow

The 7th to 10th October has seen Moscow play host to the event ‘I Saloni World Wide’ – the most prominent furnishings sector trade fair in the Russian Federation. The 360 Italian companies invited to the event founded a space gravitating around ‘Made in Italy’, an initiative first introduced within ‘Saloni World Wide-Furnishing Ideas’ three years ago. In more detail, the ‘Postcard from Italy’ project allowed foreign operators to achieve better awareness of the products on offer in this sector and to develop business opportunities with the best Italian companies in the home-living and furnishings division. Organised by Promos, the initiative was sponsored by the Chambers of Commerce of Milan, Monza & Brianza, Udine and Pesaro, Le Marche Foreign Trade Center and Veneto Foreign Trade Center, while it is also supported by ICE (the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade) and Cosmit. The quality of the Italian production system was also highlighted thanks to the multimedia show ‘Examples of Excellence in the Italian Furniture and Furnishing Sector’, located within the ‘Crocus’ structure. The use of innovative technology and multimedia installations allowed not only illustration of the products and the new trends in progress, but also presentation of the specific features of the various Lombardy areas with a pronounced furniture-production slant.
